What We Do

  • We encourage students to dream to empower them to fulfill those dreams.
  • Provide opportunity to the youth to educate oneself in any stream of choice.
  • Provide financial help (up-to 100% scholarship) for the needy & deserving students.
  • The foundation will bear the interest cost while the student may repay back the principal as per the bank norm
  • We have a clear vision & approach for our thought process and a well defined focus area of operations to ensure that our students benefit from our endeavors.
  • We are committed to ensure that our students benefit from the foundation & we would be proud to map the progress of each student on our website.

Our Focus

  • Our focus is to provide education funding to medical and engineering students of class 12+ and post graduation of other streams students.
  • It is at this stage a lot of promising students drop out or compromise on their choice of stream, because of funding constraints.
  • We believe we can have a better assessment of the need as well as the potential, giving a better success-rate to the best use of the funds.
  • Assistance at this stage can maximize the impact over a relatively shorter period of time.
  • Our focus approach is to ensure that the charity is deserving, it is effective & leads to compounding ,which benefits the immediate family and society at large.
  • Going forward, we would like to build up a self sustaining model for the trust, in short creating a chain effect through our alumni.

Our Approach

The foundation’s vision & approach is inspired by the founding member’s background as an investor.
Think : Long Term – Self Sustaining – Compounding.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.

‘If you want one year of prosperity, grow grain. If you want ten years of prosperity, grow trees. If you want one hundred years of prosperity, grow people.

Charitable work

Amal N Parikh in his endeavor to benefit society, does charity in various forms and to various organizations, a couple noteworthy ones are mentioned herewith

Avanti Fellows

This organization works towards increasing the representation of economically disadvantaged students in India's top colleges as well as in the country's future leadership through three key interventions – career guidance and outreach, tutoring and one-on-one mentorship. Avanti's Learning Centers provide low-income high-school students a world-class science and mathematics education. Our centers have no trained teachers and very little conventional lecturing. In their place, we focus on teaching students how to learn from books and their peers – resources that are more abundant, accessible and consistent in quality.

Over the past year, we've shown that our students perform at par with some of the most expensive after-school programs in the country. Last year over 6,000 students took our entrance exam for 150 spots. This year, we will test over 10,000 students to fill 300 spots in our program. On top of our advanced pedagogy , our students also benefit from having mentors from the IITs and top private engineering colleges. At over 300 mentors, our college student volunteer network is one of India's largest. Our mentors guide our students through their Std. XI and XII academics as they prepare for college. They also help counsel our students, answer their doubts and keep them motivated. Students and mentors form close bonds over the course of the two-year Avanti program, and students report that it's one of their favorite aspects of the Avanti experience.

Where we work

We run stand-alone centers in MumbaiDelhi and Kanpur and in-school centers at the Chennai Corporation Schools. With cooperation from the Central Tibetan Administration Department of Education, we also serve students in three Tibetan schools in Uttarakhand and Karnataka.
